Fortnite Just Axed Auto-Claim, And Yep, It’s On Purpose 🎮

If you’ve been wondering why your Fortnite Battle Pass rewards aren’t showing up automatically anymore… you’re not crazy. Epic just removed auto-claim entirely, and confirmed it wasn’t a bug. They meant to do it.
Now when you level up, your rewards don’t just drop in. You’ve gotta go in and claim them yourself. Every time. One at a time. Or use the new “Claim All” button, which honestly feels like a clunky band-aid compared to what we had before.
Why remove it?
Epic hasn’t really given a reason, but they did confirm it was intentional. Some think it’s so you spend more time in the Battle Pass screen (looking at other stuff to buy). Others think it’s to push people to check in more often, especially if they’re on Fortnite Crew.
Whatever the reason, players aren’t loving it. The backlash online has been real. A bunch of people are calling it a downgrade, and we get it. Auto-claim was one of those low-key features that just made things smoother.
Will you lose anything?
Luckily, no. If you forget to claim your stuff before the season ends, Fortnite says you’ll still get it all next time you log in. So at least there’s that.
But yeah—auto-claim is officially gone. And unless Epic changes their mind (spoiler: they probably won’t), it’s not coming back anytime soon.
