GTA Online’s New Update Is Here and Jam-Packed With Content

GTA Online just dropped one of the biggest updates we have seen in a while, called ,” A Safehouse in the Hills”. I spent some time going through everything Rockstar released, and this actually brings a lot of new things to do. It feels like the type of update that actually pulls people back into the game, especially if you’ve been waiting for GTA 6. 

You’ll be able to enjoy upgrading your setup in Los Santos or creating your own missions for the first time ever. This update is a mix of new features, returning characters, and some quality-of-life changes that make the whole thing feel fresh again.

The Hills are Safe, and So is Your Criminal Enterprise

One of the largest additions in this update is the brand new luxury mansions sitting up in the hills. These are fully customizable properties that come with all the extras you would expect from high-end homes in GTA Online. You get large outdoor areas, pools, helipads, gyms, trophy rooms, and even an AI assistant who will help you run your criminal enterprise.

You can purchase pets and hire security to protect everything, making the mansions feel more like a full base than just a place to sleep. Rockstar also gave discounted pricing during launch week for players who completed the early New Listings missions. This helps a lot for anyone trying to buy a Mansion right away with its default $20 million price tag.

The New AI Assistant Is Freaky

The new AI voice assistant is bundled with your purchase of a Safehouse in the Hills. You have the option to choose from several voices, such as Haviland, the Posh one, Angel, the freaky one, and finally OG, the most normal one of the bunch.

The Rockstar Games website says, "This virtual servant seamlessly balances its role as butler, personal assistant, and local entrepreneur: whether that’s delivering Champagne, feeding you compliments, or reporting the weather. It can also help you throw public or private Mansion Parties, initiate Fast Travel from the Mansion to any of your owned properties, and boost Production at any Businesses with Supply or Product for 24 hours.

Make Your Own Missions is Finally Here

Another major part of the update is the Mission Creator. This is something players have wanted for a long time, and now you can finally build your own missions. You can place NPCs, set objectives, create events, and pretty much design your own little storyline inside GTA Online. Rockstar even released sample missions so people can learn how everything works. On top of that, Michael De Santa makes his return with new story content, once again voiced by Ned Luke. Fans have been waiting years to see him come back, and it adds a nice boost to the update’s overall excitement.

The rest of the update brings new vehicles, new emotes, small gameplay improvements, and more options for GTA Plus members. There are also early discussions from the community about possible GTA 6 hints buried in the files, which is exactly the type of thing GTA fans love picking apart.
